HAROPA PORT will participate in the Connecting Europe Days, taking place in Brussels from 28 September to 1 October 2026. On this occasion, Jérôme Besancenot, HAROPA PORT's Director of Digital Transformation, will present the progress of the European MAGPIE project and the innovative solutions developed to accelerate the decarbonisation of ports.

HAROPA PORT will highlights european innovation for greener ports

Jérôme Besancenot, Director of Digital transformation at HAROPA PORT, will speak during the session "Success Stories in Greening and Digitalising Airports and Ports: European Green Deal Projects", scheduled at 11:00 a.m.

He will present the MAGPIE project, a European initiative aimed at accelerating the energy and digital transition of European ports.

During the session, he will showcase the solutions developed within the project to:

  • support the transformation of ports;
  • enhance their operational and environmental performance;
  • demonstrate how innovation and digital technologies are shaping the ports of tomorrow.

The session will also highlight the outcomes of four other European Green Deal projects: STARGATE, OLGA, TULIPS, and PIONEERS.

Connecting Europe Days: a key event for European mobility

Organised by the European Commission, the Connecting Europe Days bring together European institutions, public and private transport stakeholders, and industry representatives to exchange concrete solutions and best practices for building a more competitive, resilient, secure, and sustainable European mobility system.
