Shore Power 2030: European ports facing up to their obligations

During this edition, Tommaso Spanevello, Head of European Affairs at HAROPA PORT, will participate in the round table discussion ‘Deadline 2030: is your port ready for mandatory shore power?’ on 16 October at 1:45 pm.

This session will focus on the application of European regulations on alternative fuel infrastructure, and more specifically on shore power supply obligations (RENAQ) by 2030.

Tommaso Spanevello will present:

  • HAROPA PORT's experiences and best practices in preparing for this deadline;
  • the European BREEZE (Berth Electricity for Zero Emission in Ports) project, which aims to accelerate the deployment of shore-side electricity and promote its widespread adoption in Europe.

Decarbonising the Future – DTF: a major event for port actors

Over two days, the conference will address the main challenges facing the transformation of European ports:

  • decarbonisation of port operations;
  • integration of renewable energies;
  • the role of digitalisation in optimising flows;
  • public-private partnerships and innovative initiatives promoting a sustainable and efficient transition.
