Following on from a previous visit in June 2024, a delegation led by Benoît ROCHET, Managing Director, Cédric VIRCIGLIO, Director of International, European and Forward Studies, and Pierre DECOUSSY, Head of International Development, will be visiting Beijing, Ningbo and Shanghai.

A mission with several highlights

On 26 May, at the French embassy in Beijing, a seminar for Chinese investors is being organised in coordination with Business France and in the presence of the ambassador and Edouard Philippe.

HAROPA PORT's participation in the Maritime Silk Road Port Cooperation Forum will provide an opportunity to sign a partnership agreement with the port of Ningbo-Zhoushan.

Business meetings are also scheduled in Shanghai from 28 to 30 May.

China, a long-standing partner

China is also HAROPA PORT's main trading partner. This visit is a continuation of HAROPA PORT's strong historical relations with Chinese ports:

  • since 1990, Rouen and Ningbo have been linked by a privileged exchange agreement;
  • since 1985, Le Havre has been twinned with the Chinese port of Dalian.
