An eco-friendly ship

This lastet-generation cruise ship is LNG-powered and features cutting-edge environmental technologies, with advanced systems for :

  • on-board wastewater treatment,
  • waste management, including recycling,
  • energy efficiency (equipment to maximise efficiency, smart heating systems, LED lighting, etc.).

It’s the only ship in the Meraviglia Class, a series of 5 cruise ships built by les Chantiers de l'Atlantique, to run on 100% LNG.
This fuel is currently the cleanest maritime fuel, and its use enables cruise ships to reduce their environmental impact in terms of CO2 emissions (by up to 20%).

An iconic design

In addition to the featuring art, design by artist Alex Flämig, the hull of the ship is coated with special paint to reduce the proliferation of organisms, reducing drag and maintainingliner’s  efficiency in the water.

From its decks, cruisers can also enjoy many original works of art.

HAROPA PORT is proud to welcome these greenest and more energy-efficient new ships. They fit in perfectly with the port's strategy in favor of the ecological and energy transition, in particular by hosting zero fumes portcalls.

In keeping with tradition, a ceremony was organized and a medal was awarded to the captain
