The Seine corridor has gained a new asset to increase its international reach. HAROPA PORT and Business France have signed a three-year partnership agreement designed to promote the port, industrial and logistics offer of the Seine corridor among foreign investors and encourage the development of new projects.

As France’s leading port for foreign trade, HAROPA PORT relies on a unique infrastructure bringing together Le Havre, Rouen and Paris, at the heart of a vast industrial and logistics ecosystem. With nearly 1,000 hectares of available land across the Seine corridor, the port offers significant opportunities to welcome new business activities.

Attracting new industrial and logistics projects

This cooperation primarily aims to identify and support international projects looking to establish operations within HAROPA PORT’s sites.

Both partners will focus in particular on major industrial projects related to:

  • energy and environmental transition,
  • circular economy,
  • mechanical industries,
  • agri-food industries,
  • cosmetics and pharmaceuticals,
  • logistics and e-commerce.

Business France will help promote HAROPA PORT’s investment opportunities to international investors and facilitate connections between project developers and relevant regional stakeholders.

The objective is twofold: to facilitate new investment projects in France and to offer international companies strategic business locations connected to Europe’s major markets.

Strengthening international outreach

To enhance the visibility of the Seine corridor abroad, HAROPA PORT and Business France will leverage the complementarity of their international networks.

Joint promotion and business development initiatives will be carried out in selected countries and target markets. HAROPA PORT will also take part in international events organised by Business France, including B2B meetings, official overseas missions and major economic and industry gatherings.

In addition, Business France’s international teams will be provided with greater insight into the specific features of the Seine corridor port and logistics ecosystem through information tools and site visits to HAROPA PORT facilities.

Positioning the Seine corridor as a strategic industrial and logistics corridor

Beyond the development of new projects, the partnership is intended to strengthen the role of the Seine Axis within international supply chains.

HAROPA PORT aims in particular to develop new import flows and encourage the relocation of logistics chains to the west of Paris. Thanks to its maritime, inland waterway, rail and road connections, the Seine corridor serves as a strategic gateway to French and European markets.

By combining Business France’s expertise in international attractiveness and investment promotion with HAROPA PORT’s infrastructure, available land and industrial ecosystem, this partnership aims to further position the Seine corridor as a competitive, decarbonised and European-connected industrial and logistics corridor.
