Port infrastructures, multimodality : A new trimodal hub at Bruyères-sur-Oise

At the end of 2024, MEDLOG, MSC's logistics subsidiary, will be operating the Bruyères-sur-Oise multimodal hub (Val d'Oise). The green multimodal logistics corridor on the Seine axis structured by HAROPA PORT can rely on this new inland terminal, which is part of the extension of the investments made by MSC in Le Havre to increase its container flows.

A multifunctional platform

This trimodal logistics platform will be dedicated to serving a regional hinterland, France's leading consumer basin, and a national hinterland via the rail link.

It will perform several functions:

  • handling several types of goods and flows : containers, bulk (cereals, aggregates, etc.), swap bodies, heavy parcels, etc. ;
  • refurbishment to export standards of food-grade and refrigerated containers (with the possibility of maintaining the temperature of full refrigerated containers). These containers can then be reused, either for local export positioning by lorry, or to supply empty containers by train to a shortage export area ;
  • container maintenance and repair

MEDLOG, winner of the call for projects

On 6 January 2022, HAROPA PORT awarded the site to MEDLOG, the logistics arm of MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company, the winner of the call for projects.

After taking possession of the site on 1 October, MEDLOG will start work on the project, with commissioning scheduled for the end of the 3rd quarter of 2024.

Thanks to this site, MEDLOG will promote multimodal transport and accelerate the decarbonisation of last-mile deliveries. This objective is in line with HAROPA PORT's ambition to develop a green multimodal logistics corridor along the Seine.
