maritime : WEC Lines launches a new shortsea service via Le Havre

WEC Lines, a specialist in short sea shipping, is expanding its network with the launch of a new containerized service calling at Le Havre. This weekly service between Ireland, Belgium, and France strengthens maritime trade in Northern Europe and reinforces HAROPA PORT’s shortsea network.

The rotation Zeebruges – Dublin – Le Havre – Zeebruges is operated by the container ship Mv TROUPER, which is 135 meters long and has a capacity of up to 868 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent units). It made its first call at Le Havre as part of this new service on July 31, 2025, at the TNMSC terminal.

This service complements the line to Bilbao launched by the Dutch company earlier this year in February.

HAROPA PORT thus strengthens its strategic position within the European shortsea network. The port  is a key hub for regional maritime trade, offering fast and competitive transport solutions.
