On 6 October 2025, the day prior to its World Ports Conference in Kobe, Japan, IAPH will be holding a series of in-person thematic working sessions of its technical committees, addressing key topics of interest.

On this occasion, Jérôme Besancenot, Digital transition project director at HAROPA PORT, will speak on two major topics:

  • AI and cybersecurity

    He will present the chapter on artificial intelligence and cybersecurity from the Cyber Resilience Guidelines for Emerging Technologies in the Maritime Industry, developed in collaboration with several international ports. 

     

  • "Just in Time" and digital transition
    He will explain how HAROPA PORT is preparing for the implementation of the IMO's "Just in Time" concept, which aims to optimise ship arrivals. He will detail the port's digital initiatives, such as the digital twin and MyETA, and their contribution to the decarbonisation of maritime and port transport.
