maritime : Brittany Ferries relaunches its service in Le Havre and strengthens trade with England

Since April 2026, Brittany Ferries has relaunched its freight and passenger service in Le Havre on the Le Havre–Portsmouth route. Following a break between October 2025 and March 2026, this resumption helps reactivate trade between France and Great Britain, while discussions are underway between the European Union and the United Kingdom to simplify customs and phytosanitary formalities.

Following a break in October 2025 to March 2026, the company is once again providing freight and passenger transport on the Le Havre - Portsmouth route with a daily service:

  •  arrival in Le Havre at 6:30 p.m,
  •  departure at 9:15 p.m.

This resumption is a positive sign for the trade. It helps strengthen import-export flows between France and Great Britain by offering shippers, carriers, and logistics providers a regular maritime solution via Le Havre.

This relaunch also comes at a key moment. The European Union and the United Kingdom have begun discussions aimed at simplifying certain customs and phytosanitary requirements put in place since Brexit. These developments could further facilitate trade operations and enhance the appeal of maritime links between HAROPA PORT and England.
