SEDISEINE, an innovative solution for sediment recovery

Launched in Rouen by HAROPA PORT and Neo-Eco, the SEDISEINE project aims to develop innovative solutions for sediments resulting from dredging operations in the upstream estuary.

The project focuses on the valorization of sediments for the restructuring of agricultural soils, as well as their use in the construction and public works sector, where they serve as substitute materials for non-renewable resources.

Selected by an international jury of experts as one of the top three projects in its category, SEDISEINE demonstrates HAROPA PORT’s ability to develop concrete and innovative solutions that promote the circular economy, while contributing to more sustainable port development.

Public voting is now open

From 1 September at 9 a.m. until midnight on 2 October, the public is invited to vote for their favourite project.

The public vote accounts for 30% of the final result, alongside the assessment by the expert jury, which accounts for the remaining 70%. Each participant may vote once and must cast a vote in all six categories.

The winners will be announced on 4 November 2026, at the IAPH Sustainability Awards ceremony, held as part of the World Ports Conference gala dinner at the Natural History Museum in London
