Inaugurated in May by SAIC Anji Logistics Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of SAIC Motor Corporation Limited, the Anji Ansheng impresses with its dimensions: at 228 meters long and 37.8 meters wide, it can transport up to 9,500 vehicles, surpassing the previous capacity record of 9,200.
The ship is equipped with a real-time energy management system and is pre-fitted to operate on methanol, marking a turning point towards more environmentally-friendly maritime operations.
Its sister ship, the SAIC Anji Splendor, opened the way on June 13. Both vessels are consigned by COSCO Shipping France.
This new call further confirms and strengthens HAROPA PORT’s strategic position as a major logistics hub for automotive trade between Asia and Europe. It also highlights the port’s expertise in managing large-scale vessels.
