A tool to meet the challenges of Le Havre's rail network

The alluvial plain railway line is located close to factories and refineries. It is used by dangerous goods trains of various categories, especially class 2 (gases) and class 3 (flammable liquids). Having perfect visibility of trains travelling and parked on this network is therefore a safety issue.

Thanks to the information recorded by the traffic manager and the rail operator (goods transported, entry and exit times on the network, number of wagons, tracks used, etc.), HAROPA PORT can improve track occupancy management and strengthen the safe circulation of trains.

The level of precision of the information recorded (in particular on the tracks used and timetables) also enables Railsafe to optimise the pricing of parking on the rail network.

An innovation made in HAROPA PORT

Railsafe offers HAROPA PORT teams an agile tool. Developed in-house thanks to the rail expertise and the IT & Digital development teams, it is 100% adapted to needs on the ground.

Railsafe is part of the multimodal strategy of France's leading port, which aims to improve the quality of multimodal services.

Good to know : an order dated 28 June 2018 prescribes segregation measures for the parking of dangerous goods on the Le Havre alluvial plain railway line.
