maritime : The VB Loup joins the tugboat fleet in Le Havre

On 29 September 2025, the harbour tugboat VB Loup was christened in Le Havre, its home port. Already in service for nearly a year, this acquisition by BOLUDA Le Havre strengthens France's most powerful tugboat fleet and improves the quality of services provided to ships.

Built at the Damen shipyard in SONGCAM (Vietnam), the ‘VB Loup’ has technical characteristics that guarantee exceptional performance in all situations, whether for port manoeuvres, offshore towing or rescue operations.

Fleet optimisation to continue in 2026

This new tugboat modernises the BOLUDA Le Havre fleet, which has eight tugboats operating 24 hours a day and a ninth reserve hull. These are also able to participate in the fight against water pollution and regularly intervene at sea to tow ships in difficulty to safety. 

The arrival of this new vessel improves the reliability of the services provided and demonstrates the shared commitment of BOLUDA and HAROPA PORT to using innovation to boost the performance and competitiveness of France's leading port.

The company will continue its efforts to optimise its fleet of tugs dedicated to the port of Le Havre with the arrival of a new tug at the end of 2026.
